It is time for Treasury Secretary Geithner to step down. His policy ideas are counter to the ideas the President has outlined to get the economy back on track. Mr. Geithner has said that Europe shouldn't pursue a STET tax, which means we in the U.S. never will either. It is quite clear that Wall Street's abuse of its influence in our government needs to be curbed. Re-instituting the STET tax will do just that.
Mr. Geithner is a creature of Wall Street and doesn't see things from the perspective of Main Street. The American people are waking up to the crimes being committed against them by Wall Street as evidenced by the Occupy Wall Street protests going on now. Mr. Obama should join the American people and this movement. Having Mr. Geithner step down would be a good first step.
