Many issues have occurred at the Miami, Florida VA Hospital on several occasions over the years. Botched colonoscopy procedures, employees stealing the identities of patients and medical administrative personnel refusing to assist patients, when the VA is clearly at fault, such as appoints being canceled in the system without notifying the patient. Medical administrative personnel have become increasingly hostile over the past four years and many present an attitude of superiority over the patients and blatant prejudice and discrimination. I ask that the issues engulfing the Miami VA Healthcare System be investigated and that Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki and the Director of the Miami VA Hospital Paul M. Russo be relieved of their duties in their respective positions.
