Creating yet another site where the unbalanced can place their unbalanced and, in some cases, threatening ideas is unnecessary and demeaning the White House and the Administration. Enough outlets for the craziness displayed on existing petitions (like "gun free zones" where protection of officials is absent or the request to deport a foreign national for nothing more than speaking out) already exist. The staff person(s) responsible for this insane idea should be fired, and the "We the People" portion of the White House web site terminated. The dignity of the institution of the Presidency and this President demand nothing less.
