On the first day of Congressional business in 2013, a bill be introduced to rescind the onerous burden on the USPS

The United States Postal Service is under an obligation, imposed by a lame duck Republican Congress, to fund pensions 75 years into the future. This is a burden no other business has to carry.
Due to this burden, the Postal Service is running in the red, and is planning on drastic reductions in services.
Without this charge, the Postal Service would be running in the black.
The Postal Service is mandated by the United States Constitution and efficiently delivers mail to every corner of the country.
By removing the undue burden placed on it by a lame duck Congress, the Postal Service will be able to continue upgrading and modernizing it's services.
