Whether or not the Obama legislation's stance on Marijuana legalization is due to the desires of their funding corporations, we are all Americans entitled to smoke a plant, if we personally choose to do so. Studies have shown the negative affects on substances such as alcohol and nicotine, and yet they remain legal. We want reliable research and case studies that have been properly funded in favor of Marijuana Legalization. Kerlikowske can not simply state Marijuana is the only substance to result in addiction, respiratory disease, or cognitive impairment- what is alcohol if not factually more harmful? It has no medicinal properties, while Marijuana continues to reveal benefits. This is not a petition to ban alcohol, this is a petition to redeem each American with the right of free will.
