America is entering a critical point, we need to change so humans can thrive in the future. Now is the time to start treating the Earth like a home, and not a commodity. Most just don't know what steps to take first. That's why I would like to propose 'The first steps towards a greener America' bill.
One of the biggest threats to America is the country wide drought. There just isn't enough rain/fresh water to support our water needs. We need to change and the first step is to fix our lust for our lawns. I would like to see a Habitat Consistency Bill. Meaning all residential and commercial property landscaping would have to be 80% native rock and vegetation to the area the property resides in.
I know this isn't something that would be fixed over night, but we need to start somewhere.
