Fix the alternative minimum tax (AMT) to do what it was originally intended

Created by H.E. on January 05, 2013

The AMT was intended to ensure that all Americans paid a fair tax. However, it had flaws in the implementation in that it was not indexed to inflation.

The AMT limits needs to be raised to a reasonable amount AND must be indexed to inflation to avoid future problems.

These changes can improve tax revenues by forcing tax avoiders to pay a reasonable percentage and yet avoid penalizing hard working middle class Americans.
