FIX CONGRESS SO THEY ARE EQUAL TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO ELECT THEM TO OFFICE

Created by W.L. on December 28, 2012

We, the American people, vote to have members of Congress represent us in Washington D.C. It is unfair to the American people to have Congress work 120 days, get paid between $174,000 and $223,500, and poorly represent the American people who vote them into office.

First, set a term limit for Senators and Members of the House of Representatives to two (2). By adding terms, nobody can have seniority.

Second, each member of Congress gets paid the average median household income (currently $52,000) when they are in office.

Third, Congress participates in Social Security and does not retain any benefits.

Fourth, Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Serving in Congress is an is an honor and a privilege.
