The current voting system allows for different states to have different voting setups which causes confusions when voters move to new states. Additionally, these states can then change laws at will to discourage voting or make it more difficult.
What we would like to see is one set of voting laws that covers all states.
One set of laws that covers early voting.
One set of laws that covers absentee voting.
One set of laws that covers voter purging and the timeframe available to do that.
One set of laws that covers ballots and that they be the same or markedly similar in all 50 states.
One set of law that would create a department of elections, that would ensure that all technologies used are completely non-partisan and remove the chance for any question in the voting results.
