Mr. President,
All veterans take notice of veteran-specific actions of the federal government. As a 100% disabled veteran, I speak for many when I say that it is not enough to have recognized the backlog of the VA.
Offering the nations' vets a promissory note for service-related disabilities is a great blessing to all veterans; however, if those notes have little to no actual value due to the utter incompetence of processes carried out by Veterans Affairs, the nation has failed its veterans.
Without the helps of friends this year, I would be homeless due to the VA's incompetence. Many others aren't so lucky and this hardship affects us all, not just vets!
Please don't stop at the backlog. The promise is only as good as the delivery. Please mandate a complete overhaul of the VA.
