1. Create more social programs to help people in need. Anything that puts money into the economy will be beneficial.
2. Cut taxes on everyone else. This will also put money into the economy. It will also severely imbalance the budget, which takes us to the next step.
3. Forget about a balanced budget, it just puts people out of work. I'd rather have a job than a balanced budget. Since the United States controls its own currency, it is physically impossible for us to have too much debt that we cannot pay it off. If anything, we can just print more money.
4. Printing more money could have a side-effect of causing inflation. Use the Fed to control any inflation that may occur. Although, with so many people out of work, it seems unlikely that inflation will become an issue.
