The Electoral College does not make sense. The idea behind it is that the candidate with the most vote in any given state wins the electoral votes for that state, right? Wrong. If it is a close vote, how it usually is, then the electoral college is allowed to vote for either candidate, even if they had less votes. This was a system established by the founding fathers in the constitution, however, it was established because they believed that the American people were uneducated, which they were. But ever since public schools became common, this has not been the case. Due to this system if the election is close enough, our votes mean absolutely nothing.
