Fix the immigration system so that military service members' dependents are not forced to wait years to enter the US.

Created by J.G. on February 21, 2014

President Obama,

The members of the US Military that are stationed overseas often have foreign born dependents. The immigration process for these dependents can take years to process, separating the military family. In conjunction with deployments this results in military members being forced to spend extreme amounts of time away from their loved ones.

In my specific case, I have a son that is 3 years and 5 months old. During that time I have been with him for only 18 months. That is less than 45% of his life. During his life I have either been completing immigration procedures for his mother or deployed.

I respectfully request that you alter the immigration law to reduce the expense and difficulty a service member must face to complete the immigration of their immediatly family.
