Fix our tax policies by making them more progressive

Created by B.S. on April 16, 2015

Taxation was never meant to be a burden on poor families that can not afford to pay taxes. Our founding fathers when talking about taxation stated. " The luxuries of the rich are to be considered tributary to the public treasury as much as is practicable, in order to not over burden the masses of the poorer for fear of revolt. " The wealthy do become wealthy off of the backs of the poorer, so it just makes sense they would carry a heavier tax burden. If you have someone working for you and every hour he works for example you make clear profit 20 bucks or more after you pay him 8 bucks which is just barely enough for him to survive on and is certainly not clear profit since he has expense of fuel to get to work, work clothing, etc. , why should that person have to pay the same as you ?
