Fix the problem over who can legally purchasing firearms.

Created by J.W. on January 08, 2013

I have a Handicapped symbol on my state issued drivers license. Why not have a nationally recognized symbol, such as a pistol, on the Drivers license or State issued I.D. of any citizen willing to be cleared by the government as a qualified person to legally purchase a firearm? This would eliminate the "waiting period" for qualified citizens while solving the "Gun show purchase" issue as well. As far as person to person or a private gun sale one look at a drivers license would be enough to know a legitimate sale was being conducted between individuals. A fee each time a State issued I.D. or Drivers license is issued would cover the cost of the background checks which would be offset by eliminating the waiting period for participants. Lets all just push the "Easy Button" on this.
