It's been too long. The railroad tracks in this country are falling apart. America's only passenger rail service, Amtrak is almost always late, and slowing down due to track and signal problems.
Not only that, Amtrak trains are frequently derailing and injuring and killing people more often than not. Not only is this wrong, this is now how America should look in 2015. This is people's lives.
Stop funding the highway systems that do not need anymore funding and fix the railroads. Not only for the safety of the passengers, the crew, the materials traveling along the tracks, but for the communities that these railroads travel thru.
