On April 3, a case of police brutality occurred in Jefferson Parish, LA. An officer entered a man's house W/O A WARRANT after a noise complaint filed by a neighbor. The officer asked the man for ID & then immediately started to enter his house when he went to retrieve it. As the man asked why the officer was entering the house and being arrested, he was cornered and forced onto a couch. The officer then started to force the man into handcuffs. When the man asked, "What is your name, and why are you arresting me," the officer shoved him into the couch and replied, "I don't answer to you!"
The reasonable suspicion clause that allows officers to enter places of residence must be reformed. Officers can get away with anything they please because of it.
