fix the social security system so that when people apply for disability, it does not take 2 years to get approved

It takes entirely too long for people who need social security disability to be approved. People are waiting 2 years and over. The time needs to be sped up! People go into a financial crisis when they do not have that working person's income anymore when they get hurt, or diagnosed with issues that prevent them from working. There needs to be some serious changes in the time it takes to be qualified for social security benefits. It took my husband 2 years to be qualified. We liked to lost our house, cars and everything during this 2 years.
