When I joined the military back in 2012 I was told that I would get the montgomery G.I. Bill, and Tuition Assistance. Since joining the government has eroded tuition assistance to the point of it barely being worth the hassle, and red tape that they have designed to stop members of the military from using it. We barely get paid, and now our benefits, the one item that we have is being eroded, and stripped away right before our eyes. They want to maintain a military, and claim that they will give you benefits x, and y, but when you go to use these benefits they have stripped them down to the point of being worthless. I am shocked, and saddened that my government fails to see the value in its service members.
