The state of our Veterans Administration (VA) has reached a point where direct action and leadership is required. The backlog of claims is so ridiculous that the estimated wait time to receive a preliminary response to a disability claim is nine (9) months or longer and appeals are longer in most cases. The amount of paperwork involved in this process is staggering and the lack of empathy within the system is insulting to all the men and women who put their lives at stake to protect this country. The entire VA is in need of reform and improvement and process for all claims need to be streamlined and made less complicated. There need to be more people handling claims and direct communication available for accurate information regarding claim. Please end this national embarrassment!
