I am a disabled combat veteran of the United States Army. I was medically retired December 2011 and have faced unheard of issues with the Veterans Administration (VA) since filing my claim. There are no efficient means for a veteran to contact the VA. The 800-827-1000 line is rarely useful and the people that do answer are often rude, unprofessional and under prepared to answer questions or concerns. Furthermore, the Regional offices don't even communicate with one another, much less with the actual veteran other than with generic form letters that don't actually provide any useful insight. I feel that we as veterans deserve MUCH better service than what's currently provided and I demand we be heard. We stood up and did our job when we were called to action. Now we ask for YOU do the same.
