Nearly every time there is a public official hurt, terror attack, or celebrity death that is favored by this administration, Old Glory is ordered to fly at half-mast symbolizing our country in mourning or to show respect. However, despite over 6,700 fathers, mothers, brothers or sisters that have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defending what she represents, not once has she been ordered to be at half-mast. Nothing makes their lives more valuable than the men and women defending this country on a daily basis. Equally, no service-member believes they are, however it is time for this country to return to its original values and remember what is important.
