focus on mental health so we can take care of what the true problem is...not gun control

I am asking that something gets done to better the mental health system. After the recent events of Sandy Hook and now the killings of the 2 Firemen along with all the other lives that have been lost over the years by the hands of people who have had to have some sort of mental illness because what society calls a "normal" person could never perfom acts like that. If we took care of the menally ill then we wouldn't have to worry about guns. I know first hand how time and time again the system let's people with mental illness down. Like so many other families we have tried to get him help. I understand that everyone has rights and choices but we as citizens have a right to live a safe free life and not taking care of the mentally ill well we see what the unfortante outcome can be
