To Focus More Awareness on Human Trafficking Across The Globe.

Human trafficking is a world-wide crime. It occurs when a person of any age or sex is kidnapped and forced into labor. Most commonly, victims are forced into prostitution in brothels, but they can also be worked harshly or forced into marriages. Most Americans seem to believe that it is not a problem of importance, yet human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry, second only to drug dealing, and it is the fastest growing in the world. When forced into prostitution, victims can be beaten, drugged and raped for the profit of the brothel owners. Since human trafficking is a problem that affects people around the globe, I believe that the Obama Administration should attempt to change the lives of victims and their families. We cannot ignore this horrific, growing industry.
