In 2010 there were 358 deaths involving rifles. Deaths involving the use of pistols in the US that same year totaled 6,009 including suicides. In 2011, there were reportedly 496 Americans killed by a hammers and only 323 rifle/shotgun related deaths, yet liberals want to regulate "assault weapons". There were 1.2 million innocent children killed by needles and knives (abortion) annually. Rifle related deaths pale in comparison to abortion. Focus on a real issue.
