focus on the roles of mental illness, both diagnosed & "suspected" & emotional desensitization in homicidal situations

Gun control does not stop irrational acts & senseless violence. Intervention needs to start before someone picks up a weapon. A man in China stabbed 22 school children. Mexico has strict gun control, yet mass murders continue. Parents are murdering their children at alarming rates, often by drowning or stabbing. Google "teen sentenced to life" & see that teen violence is rampant. Access to & promotion of extreme violent acts in video entertainment has desensitized our nation. Limited access to mental health services & limited research in treatment leave many families without options. Children should not have to be charged with a crime for parents to receive help. HIPPA laws need to be changed so that families can seek medical & mental help for their affected children over the age of 18.
