Read and follow the entire Second Amendment. Not just the last line. It reads as follows: A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This was meant to enable men to keep muskets in their homes so that a standing army would be unnecessary. The Militia could be called up at a moment's notice and that was the men of the states with their personal firearms. Firearms meant to defend the country. "A well regulated militia" is no longer relevant. We have the most powerful standing army in the world. Thus the right to keep and bear arms is antiquated. It is no longer necessary. Decide as you will but there is no longer a need for us each to own a gun based upon this amendment.
