The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) only forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older. This age should be lowered to 18. Employers should not be able to discriminate against employees who are at least 18 years of age. Employers should only be allowed to discriminate against people who are age 18 or older if the job has to do with alcohol, in which case the age will change to 21 or in another circumstance where the employee would not be able to legally do his or her job do to already existing laws relating to age.
