forbid any form of free labor, namely, internships.

Created by K.K. on January 27, 2013

Internships have become a very widespread practice which if banned, would provide countless much-needed jobs, and would also disallow an extremely discriminatory advantage to those who have the luxury to work for free. The majority of internships do not provide the "learning experience" corporations claim they do, instead, internships have evolved into a form of indentured servitude were the promise of a job often does not come to fruition. Even more disturbingly, universities have capitalized upon this trend by actually charging students to take "internship classes". This corrupt practice of internships is extremely undemocratic in that it allows for only a certain class that has the privilege to work for free to once again gain an unfair advantage over their peers.
