National tragedies act as cheap and easy ratings for major news stations. News casters form opinions without knowing all the facts and and speak them to millions of watchers as truth. They celebritize the perpetrator while exploiting the victims. Giving such widespread coverage to one persons actions could result in copycat crimes. Please limit the coverage of any future tragedies to local media only, as they are most affected by such events.
