This petition is designed to keep the fans ahead of the owners. If fans want to buy jerserys to support their teams they should not have to be advertising for some faceless corporation. Owners can plaster ads all over their arenas on the field or court. Jerseys should be representative of teams which are representative of cities which is where the fans dwell. So in essence the jerseys represent the fans.
