Forbid the publication of the name or face of mass murderers, denying them infamy and minimizing copycats.

Created by K.B. on December 15, 2012

Experts tell us that it is completely the wrong approach, after a mass or spree murder, to publicize the name and face of the killer or killers. This can create a cult of infamy around the murderer and inspire others to attempt to gain similar notoriety. Example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PezlFNTGWv4&feature=youtu.be

We petition the Obama administration to forbid the publication of any personal details around mass murderers, denying them the infamy they crave and showing potential copy-cats that there is no media glory in such acts. The focus should be on the victims in such situations.
