To forbid through executive order the naming of winter storms by media outlets.

Created by B.B. on February 03, 2014

This year, certain media outlets have taken it upon themselves for naming winter storms like summer storms that could end up as a hurricane. If this should be done, then it should be done by the national weather service. These winter storms are often not the same storm. The storm that hit the east cost last week was not one single storm, but two separate storms with separate low pressure centers. This is unlike a tropical storm that forms in the Atlantic, and strengthens and weakens as it heads to the US. These are usually one storm system throughout it's life.
