Forbid the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation or judicial ruling in the United States.

Created by D.W. on November 15, 2012

Shariah law is, in most cases, in direct opposition to the laws and culture of this land, either in its edicts or its cruel and brutal punishments or both, denying rights and equality to women and people of any other religion or belief than Islam, even to the extent of murdering them. Our law is based on principles of fairness and equality for all, which is necessary for true justice. It is not necessary to rule by Shariah law in order to be respectful of the Muslim's right to believe as they choose.
In fact, ruling by Shariah law is in violation of the separation of church and state. The Shariah law that the radical Muslims in America seek to legitimize is not a watered-down, modernized version, but the same brutal and intolerant laws that have governed them for thousands of years.
