Nationwide, innocent men and women are being murdered by police, a predominant number of whom are POC. In many cases police walk free, without even a trial or punishment. Often due to PD claiming a different set of events than eyewitnesses and/or that other evidence is false.
This petition is to force all law enforcement officers in the state of Arizona to wear body cameras. These cameras need to be on at all times while the officers are on duty, otherwise they should be charged with at the very least evidence tampering. These videos shoud be made availiable publicly when an officer shoots or otherwise harms a person.
This is not a bipartisan issue; Democrats should advocate under the grounds of civil rights/police brutality, Republicans should advocate for goverment accountability.
