If the elected representatives of the US government feel they should restrict the ability of citizens to defend themselves by limiting the types of firearms and capacities of said firearms available for purchase or possession by the citizenry, those same restrictions should apply to the members of the protective forces responsible for the protection of the politicians. This includes the US Secret Service, the FBI, the CIA, and all other non military armed agencies of the government.
