To force cell phone companies to put safety mechanisms in cell phones to combat texting/calling while people are driving

Created by T.B. on April 01, 2013

Just like drinking and driving, Typing/texting on cell phones while driving has caused many injuries and deaths. In 2011, 3,331 people were killed in crashes involving a distracted driver, compared to 3,267 in 2010. An additional, 387,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver, compared to 416,000 injured in 2010.
We should require cell phone manufacturers to put in safety mechanisms in cell phones to prohibit drivers from texting/typing in automobiles driving in excess of 5 mph.
