force clearer labeling of all soy containing products and labeling of products containing soybean oil

Created by L.A. on January 21, 2015

Soy is not a toy, and yet the food industry continues to treat it as such, putting it in practically everything. However, with soy being one of the number one allergens, many people are adversely affected and may not even realize that soy is the problem due to lack of clear labeling.

Soy is detrimental to women with PCOS because it contains high levels of phytoestrogens. It is known to cause nausea, congestion, headaches, and dizziness within the general population, many of whom do not even realize that they are ingesting soy in many of the products that they eat every day.

Furthermore, the FDA does not require soybean oil to be listed as an allergen even though it is just as problematic as other soy products, meaning restaurants do not have to tell you they use it.
