Stemming from the Debt Ceiling Debacle in Congress, a committee has been formed to make mandatory cuts in government spending. The committee has failed to agree to any cuts. If these cuts are not made, mandatory cuts will be made across the board (called sequestration), which will include cuts to public education and other important infrastructure funding. Sequestration, or across the board cuts, will take effect on January 2, 2013 and will be detrimental to ALL Americans. We need President Obama to press the congress to start doing their job and making decisions for the best interest of our American Nation!
