The issue before our government is not one of taxation but of excessive spending. Many members of congress leave Washington, D.C., Thursday and return on Monday. Congress needs to be held accountable for our nations debt as the debt is a national security issue. A flat tax will eliminate loopholes for all, provides the revenue needed for our country to prosper, and simplifies the tax code.
