Congress has been found to be spending thousands of dollars of tax payer money on snacks, coffee, water, and other incidental expenses. Some members of congress spends upwards of $10,000 a month on these items. During a time when the same congress cannot pass a budget, forcing millions of workers and their families to suffer, and causing chaos with federal agencies at all levels, such spending is irresponsible and should be stopped.
We hereby demand that The President pass a declaration that makes such spending illegal, and immediately initiate action to recoup all public monies spent by members of congress within the last two years. Failure for members of congress to voluntarily re-pay the funds owed will result in the automatic deduction of the amount owed from the offenders payroll.
