Force Congress to work a minimum number of days in a year that better reflects the salary and benefits they are given.

Created by J.B. on December 29, 2012

Members of Congress receive an annual salary of between $160,000 to $180,000 a year with unlimited sick days, upwards of two weeks paid vacation, government health insurance, among many other perks.

Yet the House will only be in session for a grand total of 128 days in 2013.

This last Congress has the distinction of being one of the least productive in history. It is time for our elected officials to work at least as hard as the rest of us.

Demand the President keep Congress in session for a period of time that better reflects the salary and benefits bestowed to them by the American public.
