Currently the BATFE and the Department of Justice enforce draconian laws regarding the manufacture, sale, possession, and use of firearms suppressors. While our European cousins can freely purchase and use such items, Americans are subject to exorbitant taxes and restrictions which prohibit or infringe the rights of Americans to own them. By continuing these laws, the hearing of millions of Americans is being permanently damaged, and the prices of these products are beyond the reach of many Americans- if they are allowed to have them at all. Suppressors should be available at any hardware or gun store, for sale over the counter, just like one can presently purchase a holster or any non-BATFE-controlled firearm part.
