I was sent to prison for gardening marijuana, spent five years behind bars, was released early due to the sentencing reforms and now whenever myself or anyone persecuted by the D.O.J. looks for work, these articles published by the D.O.J. are one of the first things a potential employer or baby sitter or anyone at all sees.
Life is difficult enough for a convicted felon without the government following you everywhere you go screaming about your past.
There is a place for real current news, and I guess a place for the D.O.J. to release news stories for prosecutors to feel good about themselves....BUT THERE SHOULD BE A SUNSET ON THESE ARTICLES.
