Force elected officials to abide by the same laws they expect United States citizens to follow.

Created by A.M. on November 20, 2013

Florida Representative Trey Radel was recently charged with cocaine possession in the District of Columbia after he was witnessed buying cocaine. He is officially being charged with misdemeanor possession of cocaine in the District of Columbia and will receive a maximum of 180 days in jail and at most a $1,000 fine.

If any other United States citizen was caught buying cocaine, they would be charged in a federal court with felony drug possession and would face a year or more in prison. They would most certainly not be allowed to keep their job.

We, the people of the United States of America, petition you, the Federal Government, to treat America's elected officials the same you would the rest of America's citizens and properly enforce the laws which the Federal Government has created.
