It should not be the responsibility of the American taxpayer to fund poverty wage business. We should not be responsible for paying their employees through public assistance programs. Public assistance should remain a "last resort" and not be considered by low wage employers to be part of their business model. Large, low wage, employers should not be allowed to force the American public to pay their way while raking in billions in profits every year, and paying CEO's and CFO's salaries in the millions.
Put the responsibility for paying employees back onto the employer instead of the taxpayer. Keep welfare programs as a last resort instead of letting low wage employers consider them a way of life for their employees.
