Recently Google went to Australia to test their Project Wing drone delivery system because the FAA will not allow commercial testing of drones in the U.S. Google made it clear to the FAA that it wanted to test in the U.S. over a very large piece of private land and would take extensive safety measures to prevent any air accidents. Amazon has also made the suggestion that it can move testing operations overseas to test its drones as well. These testing operations are a significant step toward the next generation of drone use and will create jobs in the U.S.
