In 2002 the United States Air Force (USAF) issued a very clear report that repeatedly instructed the Federal Aviation Administration to integrate Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), or commonly referred to as "Drones" into the US airspace.
The FAA has consistently failed to do this for 13 years to the detriment of both air safety and legal commerce in the U.S.
They have set - and failed to meet - multiple self-imposed deadlines. Congress has stepped in demanding that they make REAL rules ASAP, but to no avail.
Commercial UAS/Drone rules are already written, in-place, and working in ally countries including Canada whose registration process is brilliant, understandable, and common sense. Their airspace is now safer, and jobs are being created.
Regulations for ALL, NOT exemptions for a few.
