We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Force health insurance companies to cover "Continuous Glucose Monitors" for Type II Diabetics.

Created by D.P. on September 08, 2016

At this time, most health insurance companies only provide coverage for Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) for Type I Diabetic patients. These medical devices made by companies like Dexcom and Medtronic, measure and report blood glucose levels every few minutes and give a trend on the direction it's going. As a person with Type II Diabetes and a CGM user, I can tell you that this device has helped me get my blood sugar under control and possibly saved my life on several occasions. I believe that insurance companies will recover the cost of the device in the form of future healthcare cost savings.
