Internet service providers are actively taking steps to diminish the quality of their services and raise their prices. In an age where the internet is the single greatest resource for achieving the American Dream, we can not let those who provide this service hold our Dream for ransom. The economic effects of the merger of Comcast and TWC in combination with the end of net neutrality, will result in less services, lower quality services, all at a higher price.
Internet Providers must be forced to operate where the price is a sole reflection of the costs of services provided, not the demand of the service. This is how electric companies are governed. It's about time that we realize that the internet is not just a luxury service rather a necessity for surviving in today's economy.
